All residents and other interested parties are urged to attend a Consultation Exhibition regarding proposals for traffic calming measures on Whichers Gate Road associated with the development of Land South of Oaklands House (‘Oaklands II’). It will be held on Tuesday 19 September 2017 from 3pm to 6.45pm in the Rowlands Castle Parish Hall. See Consultation Flyer for more details.
The Exhibition is being organised by the site owners, Bellway Homes, in conjunction with its planning consultant, Wyg. The Parish Council encourages as many residents as possible to attend. This Exhibition gives residents the opportunity to speak to members of the project team AND view and comment on Bellway’s proposals. It is important because Bellway has to provide a financial contribution to traffic calming measures along Whichers Gate Road – the access road for this 106-dwelling development.
The Parish Council shares the concerns of local residents regarding the volume and speed of traffic along Whichers Gate Road and other roads in the Parish, and is anxious that planned development such as this one does not exacerbate such dangers. It is vitally important that as many residents as possible visit the Exhibition and give their views.
