At its Meeting on 6 February, the Council took the decision to increase its precept by £30,000 for the next financial year starting on 1st April 2017. Although an increase has not been sought in the past two financial years it was decided, after careful deliberation, that additional funds are needed to finance a number of schemes to benefit the community, such as urgent traffic management and pedestrian safety issues.
